Saks Friends & Family Event

April 20, 2010

Here at Musings from a Mall we love a good sale, and were overjoyed when news of not one, but two sales hit our inbox. First up, the Saks Friends & Family Event offering 20% off your purchase both online and in store. As with things of this nature all the really good brands are excluded which means no new Louboutins for us, not that we could afford even with the discount. But there’s still tons of good stuff, starting with the Splendid Tees we used in our Spring Trends Episode. We’re so excited so we even put in some picks for guys.

Though I know it’s fashion girl cliché, I’m a complete Wang-aholic. While Saks has cleverly excluded his main line, I think the coupon is still good on the T by Alexander Wang stuff, and I want this.

Just focus on the dress and ignore the sternum of death.

Izzy says: Diesel is my go-to brand, although I’m not a fan of the “I’m with Stupid” campaign. This bag is a perfect “guy on the go,” shoulder bag that is sporty but cool. It can be worn on the one shoulder for a more stylish look, or be more sporty slung across the body. The navy is also a nice change of color, that can be dressy without being stuffy.

This dress is perfection! So much so that I don’t really need to say much except that the color is amazing, and you can basically wear it year round.

Izzy says: I’m a huge fan of hats because you can really stand out in a room without overdoing it. Pair this with a cool green army jacket, shredded jeans, and a stripe tee for a fun contrast, and you’ll definitely catch someone’s eye.
